Seven Indian soldiers were killed and 19 others injured in retaliatory fire by the Pakistan Army, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Tuesday.
Several Indian military posts were also destroyed in the response by the Pakistani security forces to Indian firing.
Indian troops resorted to firing on the civilian population in Khuiratta sector of the Line of Control resulting in the death of an 18-year-old Pakistani citizen and injuries to three women, the statement said.
Earlier today, three Pakistani soldiers were martyred after Indian firing along the LoC. Indian forces opened fire in the Rawalakot Sector, killing three soldiers and injuring one other.
The ISPR identified the three martyred soldiers as Subedar Muhammad Riaz. Hawaldar Azizullah and Sepoy Shahid Mansab.
The Pakistan Army’s media wing said that the army retaliated and opened fire on the Indian side, resulting in casualties.
